About Me

Bio

Bastiaanvan Aarle is a Belgian photographer whose work investigates the intersectionsof time, space, and light within photography. His practice is characterized bya conceptual approach that often blurs the line between photography and otherdisciplines, such as sculpture. In his latest project, Moving Mountains, published by Hatje Cantz, Van Aarle examines the fluidity of time throughgradual shifts in colour, challenging the viewer’s perception of landscapes andlight over time. His work pushes the boundaries of photography by exploring itspotential to depict more than just a moment, but an unfolding process.
